The failures of tailings dams have a major negative impact on the economy, surrounding properties, and people’s lives, therefore monitoring these facilities is crucial to mitigate risk failure, but this can be challenging due their size inaccessibility. In work, deformation processes at ?elazny Most dam (Poland) were analyzed using satellite Ad-vanced Differential SAR Interferometry (A-DInSAR) from October 2014 April 2019, showing that affected by both settlements (with maximum rate 30 mm/yr), horizontal sliding in radial direction with respect ponds. load pushing forward along glacio-tectonic shear planes located depth, Pliocene clays, causing displacements up mm/yr, which could lead passive failure dam. measured been compared ones observed situ data 90s 2013, available literature. outcomes indicate intense localized deformations occur eastern northern sectors dam, while western sector deforming evenly.
